Why we own the crop
If bad produce reaches your kitchen, the responsibility is ours. So we buy the crop outright and inspect every crate before any of it goes on sale. It costs more than passing an order to a grower. It is the only version of this we are willing to run.

How it reaches you
There is no third party selling to you here. We buy the crop, we inspect it, and if it is not right it never leaves our dock.

Bought outright from growers we have visited and audited, at a price agreed before the picking begins.

Direct to our dock, where it rests in quarantine until a person has examined it.
Inspection
Every crate opened and separated by quality. What falls short never reaches a shelf, and the cost is ours.
Record
Each lot receives a number naming its grower, its grade and its date, then a place on the shelf.
Departure
We send the crate that needs eating first, and we write its number on your order — so you can see the grower, the day it was picked and the inspection it passed.
We take title at the farm gate. There is nobody between us and you to point at.
