Primesavour

About Primesavour

The person who grew it should be the person who sells it.

Rare tropical fruit is grown in America — in Florida, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Texas and California — by people who have spent their careers selling it to somebody who sells it to somebody else. By the time it reaches a shelf, the grower is three parties back and taking the thinnest cut of the price.

Primesavour is the market that removes those parties. Growers list their own fruit, set their own prices and pack their own boxes. We run the marketplace and take a commission we publish openly. That is the whole business.

Why we built it

Rare fruit does not survive a long supply chain.

A lychee has about a week. A soursop bruises if you look at it wrong. The conventional route — pack house, consolidator, distributor, shelf — is built for fruit that travels, which is exactly why the fruit worth eating never makes it to you.

Selling direct is not a marketing line here. It is the only structure in which this produce arrives in the condition the grower intended, and the only one where growing something difficult is worth the risk.

How the market works

Four rules, and we do not bend them.

Every grower is vetted

A person reads each application before a farm can sell. Provenance you can rely on is the product; an open bazaar would not be.

The grower sets the price

We never mark a listing up or discount it on a grower's behalf. What you pay is what they asked for, plus delivery.

Commission is published

Our cut is shown to the grower in full, on every order, and it never changes without us telling them first.

Nothing is warehoused

We hold no stock. Fruit is picked against orders that already exist and moves from the farm to your door.

If you eat

Buy fruit that was on a tree this week.

Every lot carries the farm it came from, the day it was picked and the day it stops being worth eating. Nothing is hidden, because nothing needs to be.

Shop the market

If you grow

Sell it yourself, for what it is worth.

List what you have picked, name your price, and know exactly who is eating it and exactly what you earned. We review every application personally.

Where we deliver

Florida first, then out.

We run fixed delivery days by area rather than driving everywhere every day — one full van, one tight cluster, and a fee that reflects it. Growers ship from FL, HI, PR, TX, CA, and we open new metros as the grower base in each one gets deep enough to be worth a route.
