We buy the crop, so the responsibility is ours.

Most fresh-delivery apps are marketplaces. A grower lists produce, you buy it, and the app takes a fee. When something arrives spoiled, the app points at the grower and the grower points at the weather.

We do not do that. We buy the crop outright, bring it into our own warehouse, and inspect every crate before any of it goes on a shelf. What fails, we absorb. That is more expensive, and it is the only version of this business we are willing to run.

The people who grow it

A fair price, agreed before the picking starts.

If you grow something and you would like us to taste it, the supply form takes five minutes and a real buyer reads every one.

Sell us your crop

Most of the people we buy from farm a few acres. A grove in Homestead, a family plot in the Rio Grande Valley, a hillside in Puerto Rico. They grow beautiful fruit and they have almost no say in what it sells for — the price is set after the harvest, by whoever is buying that week, and a good season can still end badly.

So we agree the price before anything is picked, in writing, and we pay it whether the fruit sells quickly or slowly. If a crate fails our own inspection, that is our loss to carry, not theirs to discount. A grower should be paid for the work and the risk they took in the field, not for how our week went.

We buy in small lots on purpose. It means a family with half an acre of finger limes can sell to us on the same terms as a farm twenty times the size, and it means the person who grew your fruit is named on the crate it came in.

What ownership changes

Four assurances no marketplace is able to make.

A single party is answerable

Title passes to us at the farm gate. Should anything fall short, there is nobody for us to point to and no case for you to argue.

Nothing is sold ungraded

Every delivery is separated by quality on arrival. Grade A and B reach the shelf; the remainder is processed or refused at the dock.

Provenance, on every pack

Each crate carries a number naming its grower, its grade and its date — and your order keeps a record of which crate filled it.

We send the crate that needs eating first, and we write its number on your order — so you can see the grower, the day it was picked and the inspection it passed.

Conventional produce passes through a packer, a consolidator and a distributor before it reaches a shelf. Each takes a margin, and each takes days the fruit does not have. We removed all three and put a single warehouse in their place — one we run ourselves, and one you are entitled to hold to account.

One number returns the grower, the delivery and the inspection. We make it good with you, and we take it up with the grove.
