Customer promise
Produce is not a sweater. We do not want it back, and asking you to package up a bruised mango and stand in line at a carrier is not a refund policy, it is a deterrent. Send a photograph instead.

Every crate is graded in our warehouse before anything is listed for sale, and we only sell what passed. If something arrives that would not have passed that inspection, it is our mistake, and you get your money back for that item. There is no restocking fee and no minimum.
This covers produce that arrives bruised, soft, mouldy, leaking, under-ripe past use, over-ripe, short weight, wrong item, or missing from the box.
48 hours from delivery for quality problems. That is not us being difficult, it is the honest shelf life of the things we sell. After two days at your kitchen temperature we genuinely cannot tell our fault from ordinary ripening, and neither can you.
For an order that never arrived, a wrong item, or a missing item, you have 14 days.
Use Something not right? on your order, reply to your order confirmation email, or write to the address on our contact page with your order number and a photograph of the item as it arrived. One clear photograph in daylight is enough. We do not ask for the packaging, the label, or the box.
We answer within one business day. Most claims are approved on sight. The photograph is there so we can trace the item back to the lot it came from and find out whether a whole delivery from that grower has a problem.
We issue the refund the day we approve it. An order paid in cash at the door is refunded in cash by your driver on your next delivery, or as a credit against it, whichever you prefer.
If you would rather have the item replaced on your next delivery than take the money back, say so and we will do that instead.
You can cancel free of charge at any point before the order is packed: from your orders, or by writing to us with the order number, and every crate reserved for it goes back on the shelf. Once it is packed, the produce has been picked from a specific lot, weighed and boxed for you, and it cannot go back on the shelf.
You can see exactly which stage your order has reached on your orders.
Produce you did not care for, or that ripened faster than you hoped after two days in a warm kitchen. Fruit bought deliberately under-ripe and eaten too early. Damage caused after delivery, including a box left outside in the sun after we told you it had arrived.
